Risk management of a Semiconductor plant is a field where expertise and accurate assessment of potential risks are paramount. The authors discuss the pitfalls that can beset the unwary plant manager and designer and illustrate some disastrous cases. A financial methodology which can protect and increase profitability from inception to plant run-down is presented.
