This article reviews the trends in capital spending by the semi-conductor manufacturers, now the market shows signs of recovery. While the pronounced cycles of the semiconductor market are well known, capital spending trends are even more volatile.The relationship between market size and capital spend is investigated across all manufacturers, and predictions made for the coming quarters.
