A story in the New York Times (link below) highlights comments from the HR director of Soitec, the French-based SOI wafer manufacturer, that the company is struggling to find the right personnel for its Bernin, France manufacturing facility as it expands to meet demand.

Soitec now has to recruit qualified staff outside of both France and Europe, according to the report, and if the problem continues, Soitec is concerned that it may not meet production targets within its latest production ramp plans.
