The 6th annual NVIDIA Fellowship awards are underway; Fellowship recipients have been named and announced by Dr. David Kirk, chief scientist for NVIDIA.  The Fellowship awards are considered to be indications of prestige among Ph.D. students, whose studies must, in order for eligibility, encompass the realm of computer and electrical engineering, system architectures or related fields.

Additional criteria for consideration for receipt of a Fellowship include the completion of the first year of their Ph.D.  Applicants must also hold a current membership on an active research team.  

Recipients of the 2007 NVIDIA Fellowship are:

Nuttapong Chentanez (University of California at Berkeley),
Seth Cooper (University of Washington),
Kayvon Fatahalian (Stanford University),
Jared Hoberock (University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign),
Won-Ki Jeong (University of Utah),
Jacob Leverich (Stanford University),
Veynu Narasiman (University of Texas, Austin),
Jonathan Ragan-Kelley (Massachusetts Institute of Technology),
Shubhabrata Sengupta (University of California Davis),
Jay Steele (Clemson University),
Jerry Talton (Stanford University).
