TSMC has place a series of orders this week with equipment supplier, Ebara, known for its CMP technology. The total orders placed were valued at approximately US$22 million.

Ebara recently reported sales for the its third quarter fiscal year had increased 33.1% from the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, to ¥46,020 million. Sales in its semiconductor machinery segment are expected to reached ¥67,000 million (US$800 million approx) for the full financial year.
