Continuing its capital spending binge, TSMC has placed orders worth approximately US$19.6 million for 200mm equipment with AYUNG Technology Inc. TSMC is expanding capacity at its 200mm fab in China. The foundry plans to double capacity by early 2012 to 110,000wpsm.
