A U.S. customer of Strasbaugh has placed a multi-million dollar order for its new STB P300 CMP system, which was recently launched at SEMICON West 2009. The new system features optical endpoint detection, pad conditioner, and industry-proven integrated cleaning.
"Device makers are telling us they need a new generation CMP system that not only improves their process performance, but has the design and features that will enable them to realize the efficiencies of lean and flexible manufacturing. This order confirms the P300 delivers the benefits they are looking for," said Chuck Schillings, Strasbaugh's President and CEO.
