A major 300mm memory manufacturing facility in Asia has placed its first follow-on order Mattson Technologies ‘Nexion’ etch system. The Company noted that the customer has accepted the 2 tools currently at its site for testing and performance verification. With this order, Mattson Technology has multiple tools in volume production in the customer's advanced DRAM production line.
“This order is of particular significance and represents an inflection point for the Company. Our entrance into the adjacent growth market of dielectric etch was a strategic decision to expand our technical expertise and market leadership positions in Rapid Thermal Processing (RTP) and Strip,” commented David L.
