John HsuanAccording to news reports from Taiwan, negotiations and a written proposal from John Hsuan (pictured), Honorary Vice Chairman of UMC, charged with thrashing out a deal by the Taiwan Government on the future of the DRAM industry in the country have yet to be finalized. In early March 2009, the Taiwan Government had said that a decision on which foreign memory manufacturer (Elpida, Micron) TMC would partner with would be announced by the end of March. No revised schedule has been announced.
