SanyoSANYO Electric Co., Ltd. has decided to close its semiconductor plant in Masan, South Korea. The liquidation of Korea Tokyo Silicon Co., Ltd., a SANYO consolidated subsidiary, follows a 6.3% fall in the company’s share value recently; however, according to a notification on the company’s website, “the decision to dissolve the business is based on the realignment of the manufacturing assembly bases in the semiconductor business.”
