Intel Corp’s ‘Preferred Quality Supplier’ awards acknowledge 45nm ramp support

With the introduction of new advanced materials and processes for its 45nm technology node migration in 2007, Intel Corporation has acknowledged some of iIntelts suppliers that were critical to its ability to migrate to the new node within its Preferred Quality Supplier (PQS) awards for 2007. A total of 35 suppliers were honored.

“We’re especially pleased this year to recognize these suppliers due to their significant contribution to Intel’s ramp of the world’s most advanced 45nm manufacturing process and industry-leading assembly and test technologies,” said Robert Bruck, Vice President of the Technology and Manufacturing Group and General Manager of Technology Manufacturing Engineering. “These suppliers are industry-recognized leaders committed to innovation, affordability and high-velocity business practices.”

Although Intel did not break out those suppliers specifically involved in the 45nm ramp, front-end fab suppliers honored included:

·    Asyst Technologies, Inc. supplies automated material handling systems
·    Cabot Microelectronics Corp. supplies CMP polish slurries for flash and logic technologies
·    Daifuku Co., Ltd. supplies automated material handling systems
·    Dainippon Screen Manufacturing Co., Ltd. supplies capital manufacturing equipment and spares and services
·    JSR Corporation supplies advanced photoresists, packaging materials and CMP consumables
·    Linde Electronics, a member of the Linde Group, supplies electronic gases and total materials management
·    Munters Corporation supplies VOC abatement equipment
·    Nikon Corporation supplies lithography scanners
·    NuFlare Technology, Inc. supplies mask writers
·    Tokyo Electron Limited supplies semiconductor production equipment
