Silicon wafer producer, MEMC has received Inotera Memories 2009 Outstanding Supplier Award based on its high-quality wafers and support services, despite the global economic challenges of last year and the bust and boom period that subsequently followed.

"MEMC enabled us to serve our customers during the global economic challenges of 2009," said Charles Kau, president of Inotera at an awards ceremony held on March 29, 2010. "MEMC's commitment to us as a customer, coupled with their robust manufacturing capabilities and service, demonstrate what is needed for a strong supplier partnership."

John Kauffmann, senior vice president of sales for MEMC Electronic Materials said, "We place great value on our relationship with Inotera. This award underscores our commitment to providing Inotera with excellent wafers and unrivaled support."

MEMC has wafer production facilities in Taiwan where Inotera has two 300mm fabs.
