Gigaphoton, the high-performance DUV laser light provider is to move its business management, logistical and training centres to its US headquarters in Oregon. It is hoped that the decision will mean better service for its increasing number of installed bases. The company has increased laser installed bases 10 times since the company’s inception in 2008. The official opening of the amalgamated facilities, attended by over 70 local customer, partners and employees, was held on February 17th and included a tour of facilities. Guests included the mayor of Beaverton, Dennis Doyle, and the President of the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce, Lorraine Clarno.
“To meet the needs of our growing US–based customers, we decided to expand our US headquarters. This expansion allows consolidation of all management and logistical operations as well as operation and maintenance training capabilities for both single- and dual-chamber lasers in one location”, said Gigaphoton’s president and CEO Dr. Yuji Watanabe, “Gigaphoton remains committed to meeting our global customers’ needs and we look forward to leveraging our new headquarters to serve all our customers throughout the United States.”
As part of Gigaphoton’s ongoing expansion, a technical support centre was opened in Austin, Texas in December 2010 to provide 24-hour second-line technical support and faster laser performance monitoring.
