CIMACFab automation and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) provider CIMAC has established a software development center in Sofia, Bulgaria that is intended to extend its capabilities for customer projects and internal applications.

"With the addition of our new offshore development center, CIMAC will be able to increase our strong engineering capability with the addition of experienced engineers located in Bulgaria", said Yezala Abayneh, President and CEO of CIMAC. "The ability to share our work with our new operation will enhance CIMAC's goal of providing our customers with expanded factory automation services and high quality cost-effective IT consulting solutions, 24 hours a day."

The company said that IP protection laws as well as a skilled workforce in Bulgaria were a key part in the decision to locate there.
