Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing has announced the results of its top supplier selection for 2008. Chartered’s top process equipment supplier for last year, winning the ‘Gold Supplier Award was Dainippon Screen Singapore while ATMI Pte Ltd won the Gold Materials Supplier Award. United Test And Assembly Center Ltd won the Best Service Support Award.
“Chartered has been actively engaging in productivity and cost-reduction initiatives with our suppliers amidst the challenging environment,” said Leow Kim Keat, vice president, customer support operations and supply management organization at Chartered. “We want to thank our valued suppliers for their collaborative work and continued support of Chartered and our customers. Moving ahead, we will continue to work with our suppliers to enhance Chartered’s preparedness to benefit from the eventual industry recovery at the earliest possible stage.”
Ion implant equipment market leader, Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates picked up the Silver Supplier Award behind DNS and S.E.H. Malaysia Sdn Bhd the Silver Materials Supplier Award. Honeywell Electronic Materials was noted with the ‘Most Improved Supplier Quality Award.’
