Woditsch has worked in the industry for over 40 years, spending the majority of this time with Bayer and SolarWorld in a variety of key positions. Woditsch founded Bayer Solar Lim in 1994 in Freiberg, Saxony, which was later acquired by SolarWorld in 2000 and renamed Deutsche Solar.
Woditsch remained at Deutsche Solar as CEO until July 2009. Since 2007, Woditsch has been the CEO of Sunicon, an affiliate of SolarWorld, responsible for silicon feedstock supply and recycling in the photovoltaic business. He holds a doctorate degree in chemistry from the University of Erlangen and also gave lectures as a professor at the University of MuŐ?nster in industrial inorganic chemistry.
