Aviza Technology has lowered its revenue and loss guidance for its second quarter. The struggling equipment supplier said that net sales would be in the range of US$9.5 million to US$11.0 million, compared to previously announced guidance of US$13 million to US$18 million.

Aviza expects that adjusted net loss for the second quarter of fiscal 2009 will be in the range of US$5.0 to US$6.0 million, excluding restructuring charges, which could be close to US$10 million.
