Air LiquideStrong growth in the industrial gases market has led to Air Liquide pouring €110 million into an expansion program. The company will open production facilities in Ulm, southern Germany, and Sines, southwest Portugal, with initial production expected between the end of 2009 and early 2010.

The facilities will house production of liquefied air gases such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and liquid argon. The Germany site, which represents an investment of €60 million, will be the company’s main site for air gas liquefaction. While the Portugal site will also perform this production process, the €50 million Sines site will also produce products in gaseous form for industries in the area.
