NXP Semiconductors has announced the impending retirement of Theo
Claasen, Executive Vice President responsible for Business Development,
on August 1st 2008. The company has also released the news that Hein
van der Zeeuw (pictured), Executive Vice President responsible for
Operations, has resigned his role and will leave the company on October
1st, 2008.

Marcel Annegarn, a 20-plus-year veteran of Philips, has joined AENEAS,
the Association for European NanoElectronics Activities, as Director
General. This role will see Mr. Annegarn manage the association’s
activities for Europe’s Nanoelectrics R&D companies and their
participants in AENEAS’s European Technology Platform on
Nanoelectronics (ENIAC) programme.

Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. has announced the appointment of
Shinichi "James" Machida as President and CEO, effective from June
23rd, 2008. Machida leaves his role as President of Fujitsu
Microelectronics Asia Pte. Ltd. (FMAL) in Singapore, and Fujitsu
Microelectronics Pacific Asia Ltd. (FMP) in Hong Kong, and replaces
Kazuyuki Kawauchi, who takes up another role with Fujitsu
Microelectronics Limited, Japan in September.

Molecular Imprints, Inc., has announced the appointment of two industry
veterans to its management team. Ben Eynon joins the company as Vice
President of marketing and business development for semiconductors,
while Paul Hofemann (pictured) takes up the post of Vice President of
marketing and business development for hard disk drives and emerging
markets.
The newly-announced STMicroelectronics and NXP Semiconductors joint
venture, dubbed ST-NXP Wireless, has announced the management team that
will steer the new company following its completion in the third
quarter of 2008. The company will be headed up by Alain Dutheil,
currently serving as COO of STMicroelectronics, who assumes the role of
CEO of ST-NXP Wireless.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed between NXP Semiconductors and
Thomson in February this year comprised an agreement between the two
companies to combine their can tuner modules operations in a joint
venture. The companies have today announced that the agreement has been
finalized and have named the new management team.

In a statement released by Infineon yesterday, the company announced
the resignation of Dr. Erk Thorsten Heyen, Corporate Vice President and
head of Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions. Dr. Heyen, who joined the
company in 2003 as General Manager of the mobile handset and smart card
chip business, departs the role to pursue other opportunities.

Conexant Systems, Inc. has apointed William E. Bendush and Matthew E.
Massengill (pictured) to the company’s Board of Directors, bringing the
total number of members to eight. Mr. Bendush will serve as chairman of
the board’s Audit Committee and will sit on the Board Governance and
Composition Committee, while Mr. Massengill will sit on the Board
Governance and Composition and the Compensation and Management
