Joy Leo (pictured), a financial and corporate management veteran of the technology industry, has joined PDF Solutions as Chief Administration Officer. Ms. Leo joins the company from her role as CFO, Senior Vice President and Secretary for Credence, from which role she resigned in November 2007 after a seven-month tenure. In the new CAO role, she will report to company CEO John Kibarian. The role will see Ms. Leo take responsibility for all company administrative activities. Read more >>

Tim Bixler has been named as International Rectifier Corp.’s Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary with immediate effect. His responsibilities will include management of the company’s legal affairs, providing legal counsel to the Board of Directors and management, and he will report to Chief Administrative Officer Don Dancer. Fred Yentz (pictured) has decided to vacate his role as Senior Vice President and COO for ILS Technology to take up the role of CEO. Succeeding former CEO Joe Cestari, who has stepped down from the post but remains with the company in an advisory capacity, Mr. Yentz brings more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry to the leadership position.

An employee of Rudolph and its predecessor companies for the past eight years, Mr. Roy has held senior marketing and management roles with August Technology and Semiconductor Technologies and Instruments (STI). Following on from the retirement of former Executive Vice President and COO Jean-Marc Pandraud, who will remain with the company as a senior advisor, Entegris has promoted former EVP and Chief Administrative Officer Bertrand Loy (pictured) to the COO role. NXP Semiconductors has announced the impending retirement of Theo Claasen, Executive Vice President responsible for Business Development, on August 1st 2008. The company has also released the news that Hein van der Zeeuw (pictured), Executive Vice President responsible for Operations, has resigned his role and will leave the company on October 1st, 2008. Marcel Annegarn, a 20-plus-year veteran of Philips, has joined AENEAS, the Association for European NanoElectronics Activities, as Director General. This role will see Mr. Annegarn manage the association’s activities for Europe’s Nanoelectrics R&D companies and their participants in AENEAS’s European Technology Platform on Nanoelectronics (ENIAC) programme. Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. has announced the appointment of Shinichi "James" Machida as President and CEO, effective from June 23rd, 2008. Machida leaves his role as President of Fujitsu Microelectronics Asia Pte. Ltd. (FMAL) in Singapore, and Fujitsu Microelectronics Pacific Asia Ltd. (FMP) in Hong Kong, and replaces Kazuyuki Kawauchi, who takes up another role with Fujitsu Microelectronics Limited, Japan in September. Read more >>

The newly-announced STMicroelectronics and NXP Semiconductors joint venture, dubbed ST-NXP Wireless, has announced the management team that will steer the new company following its completion in the third quarter of 2008.
