GSA boosts focus on 3D IC test flows and test capacity management

The Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA), the voice of the global
semiconductor industry, announces the appointment of Dan Hamling, Sr.
Director, IC Test and Assembly Business Development, GE Global
Electronics Services, to serve as the GSA Test Interest Group Chairman. A
key role Hamling will play is to establish objectives and initiatives
for the Test Interest Group, which will also cover 3D IC test flows and
test capacity management issues.

Stephen G. Newberry, a veteran of the semiconductor capital equipment
industry, has joined Nanometrics Board of Directors. Newberry is the
chief executive officer of Lam Research Corporation and currently serves
as a director and vice chairman of Lam’s Board of Directors.

Former semiconductor engineer, Dr. Anne-Marie Dutron has been appointed
general director of the SEMI European Grenoble Office. Based in
Grenoble, Anne-Marie Dutron will be representing SEMI in France and the
Southern Region of Europe.

After 24 years as a SEMI board member and 15 years as president and CEO
of the trade association, Stanley T. Myers is to retire this year. Myers
has been involved more than 50 years in the semiconductor industry.
SEMI is to undertake and executive search for Myers replacement.

Castelli as its new Senior Vice President of North American Sales.
Castelli will be responsible for directing sales and marketing efforts

advice and dispositions.

Addiego has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of
Ultra Clean Holdings, a key components and sub-systems supplier to

Nanometrics has appointed a Ronald W. Kisling as its new Chief Financial
Officer, effective March 14th, 2011. Current CFO, Jim Moniz will stay
on with the company through April 1st to ensure a seamless transition,
according to the company. Moniz is retiring from the company. Moniz joined Nanometrics as CFO in Feb 2009.
