Semiconductor test company Verigy has promoted its current COO to the role of president and COO as of July 1st 2010. Jorge Titinger will report to Keith Barnes, chairman and CEO, who renounces the role of president, which he has held since joining the company in 2006. Jorge has worked with such companies as KLA-Tencor, Applied Materials and FormFactor over the course of his career.
Titinger joined Verigy in 2008 as COO and a member of the senior management team. His additional presidential role will mean he assumes responsibility for business activities such as product generation, customer engagement and operational delivery of Verigy’s products. A graduate of Stanford University, Titinger has B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering and an M.S. in engineering management.
He joined the company from his former role as senior vice president of product business groups at FormFactor, prior to which he held several executive leadership positions at KLA-Tencor, including executive vice president of global operations and chief manufacturing officer, chief administrative officer, senior vice president and general manager of global support services and field operations group. He also held various executive posts at Applied Materials during his five-year tenure at the company.
