NEXXNEXX Systems has announced that Tsuyoshi (Yoshi) Kotaki will serve as the company's new Sales Director, heading customer-related operations in the region of Japan.

Working closely with NEXX's trading partner, Kanematsu Corporation, Kotaki will bring electroplating and sputtered metal solutions to the rapidly growing 3D packaging market in that region.

Kotaki comes to NEXX with extensive sales experience within the Japanese semiconductor equipment market, moving on from Novellus where he was account director for 10 years to many of the major semiconductor corporations in Japan.

Kotaki has also served at Varian, following 20 years at Seki Technotron representing many key companies in the semiconductor market.

John Bowers, Vice President of Sales and Business Development for NEXX Systems said, "We are delighted to have Kotaki-san join the NEXX team. He brings a wealth of experience in both semiconductor business and the Japanese marketplace. His deep insights, customer knowledge, and energy will serve to grow NEXX's presence in the Japanese semiconductor arena."

Kotaki holds a bachelor of commerce (economics) degree from Kanagawa University.
