The
recent announcement of the departure of Nancy Baker from the role of
CFO OF Cymer, Inc. has led to the speedy appointment of Paul Bowman,
currently Vice President of Investor Relations, as Interim Chief
Financial Officer, effective as of December 19th. Ms. Baker tendered
her resignation to pursue other opportunities.
A Cymer employee since May 2008, Mr. Bowman is a relative newcomer to the company but brought nearly 30 years of financial management positions to the company. He joined Cymer from his former role as CFO of American Mold Guard, prior to which he served in various financial management roles with companies including Applied Materials, Unisys, and IBM.
“We want to express our thanks to Nancy for her contributions and accomplishments during her tenure. We wish Nancy well with her future endeavors,” said Bob Akins, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cymer. “We are fortunate to have a finance executive of Paul’s caliber at Cymer to assume the interim CFO role during our search for a replacement, to help ensure a smooth transition,” concluded Akins.
