Micrel Inc., suppliers of analog, high bandwidth communications and Ethernet IC solutions, announced VP of Analog Design and R&D, David Schie will be named VP of the Analog Business Unit. He will be accountable for the Analog Business Unit, which constitutes over two-thirds of the company’s total revenue.
Before joining Micrel in May 2007, Schie had been an Executive Director for Maxim Integrated Products in addition to being VP of Supertex, Inc. He was also responsible for founding the ESG group of companies and Linear Dimensions Semiconductor.
President and CEO of Micrel, Ray Zinn (pictured) said, “Since joining Micrel, David has made a number of significant contributions to the analog engineering organization and the Company in general. David was instrumental in helping Micrel to substantially increase the number of new product introductions year over year. He also streamlined Micrel’s engineering systems, improved on-time product release performance and drastically reduced product development cycle time all of which have had a positive impact on the Company’s bottom line.”
