Canadian MEMS manufacturer Micralyne, Inc. has appointed Dr. David Buckley to the role of Vice President of Product Line Management (PLM). Departing his former role as Director of Product Line Management (PLM), which he took up when he joied the company in June 2007, he has been instrumental in the company’s development of MEMS for Wavelength Selective Switches (WSSs) and Variable Optical Attenuators (VOAs).

His new role will see him assume responsibility for business development, sales, marketing and communications as well as PLM. His career prior to joining Micralyne involved roles including VP of Engineering, VP of Operations and several PLM roles with start-up semiconductor and sub-system businesses. He has also held a variety of engineering and PLM position over 13 years with Nortel Optical Components (now Bookham).
