J. MonizNanometrics Inc. has come to the end of its five-month search for a Chief Financial Officer with the news that it has appointed James P. Moniz to the role with immediate effect. The process control metrology equipment provider has welcomed the executive’s 20-plus years of experience in the senior financial industry.

Mr. Moniz joins the company from his former role as CFO for Photon Dynamics, Inc., which role he held from April 2008 until its recent acquisition by Orbotech Ltd. He joined Photon Dynamics from Nextest Systems, where he spent eight years as CFO, Treasurer and Assistant Secretary. He has also held the roles of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Millennia Vision Corporation; Vice President of Finance for Fairchild Imaging Systems; and as Vice President of Finance and Administration and later as President of Rolm Computers.
