Heinz Kundert receives IC Industry Award for leadershipHaving presented awards the previous day at the Semicon Europa Executive Summit, Heinz Kundert himself received the IC Industry Award for leadership, which was presented on October 12, 2011, at SEMICON Europa, in Dresden.

The IC Industry Awards, sponsored by EuroAsia Semiconductor, are a platform that allows the semiconductor industry to evaluate the people, products and practices serving the industry.

Kundert, who is the president of SEMI Europe, said, "While I am honored to receive this award, I believe that it is a reflection of all the work that our regional advisory board, special interest groups, and many volunteer committees do to support the micro and nano-electronics industry in Europe."

Kundert has been within the semiconductor industry for 23 years when he joined Balzers in Liechtenstein, a global supplier of thin-film equipment for semiconductor manufacturing and related applications. In October 2005, Kundert was named president of SEMI Europe, a global industry association serving the nano- and microelectronics manufacturing supply chains.
