Tower
Semiconductor Ltd. has announced the appointment of Amir Elstein as
Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Elstein, a former General
Manager of Intel Electronics Ltd., joins the company from Teva
Pharmaceutical Industries, where he was a board member and Executive
Vice President in the Office of the CEO. He brings over 28 years of
semiconductor industry experience to the role.
Russell Ellwanger (pictured), CEO of Tower, said, "We are excited to enter into our next phase of growth with Amir's Board leadership. He is a semiconductor industry veteran with an outstanding reputation and I am confident that with Amir we will capitalize on the opportunities that the present worldwide economic situation offers to the bold."
