Ron KrisandaVacuum and abatement equipment provider Edwards has appointed Ron Krisanda as its new operations and technology director. The appointment became effective January 15, the company said.

“I am delighted to welcome Ron Krisanda to our team,” commented Nigel Hunton, CEO of Edwards. "His senior management experience at some of the world's most successful blue-chip electronics companies, and his extensive experience in Asia where many of our key customers are located, will be quite valuable to Edwards."

Krisanda joins Edwards from Tyco International, where he was president of the Fire and Security business for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to that, he held senior management positions at Motorola/General Instrument Corp. and Multilink Technology Corp.
