M. Van BuskirkInnovative Silicon, Inc. has recruited the skills of Dr. Wolfgang Mueller, former Qimonda Fellow of DRAM Technology at Qimonda AG, as director of device engineering and process integration. Mueller implemented the introduction of various memory innovations such as Qimonda AG’s “buried wordline” DRAM technology.

Dr. Mueller’s most recent research with Qimonda involved sourcing successors to conventional one-transistor, one-capacitor DRAM, as well as floating body memory structures. A much-published author and inventor, Dr. Mueller has presented at various industry conferences. He has a Ph.D. in electronic engineering from Vienna University of Technology in Austria.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Mueller has joined ISi,” said Michael Van Buskirk (pictured), senior vice president, engineering and operations. “Dr. Mueller brings a unique perspective to ISi because he has achieved significant breakthroughs in conventional DRAMs and he has a broad understanding of emerging memory technologies. He will be a key contributor as we continue to scale Z-RAM to sub-40nm DRAM process technologies.”
