Davis, former President and CEO of iWatt, the power management IC
solutions provider, has been added to Cypress Semiconductor’s executive
team. As Vice President of the PowerPSoC Business Unit, Mr. Davis will
focus mainly on the LED lighting market and will apply his 30 years’
experience in the semiconductor industry, and the area of power
management in particular, to the role, which is effective immediately.
Prior to his President and CEO role with iWatt, which he was instrumental in growing from the start-up level to a company that generated $20 million in revenue, Davis spent 25 years with Analog Devices in roles including Automated Test Equipment IC design engineer and Vice President and General Manager of the Precision Linear and Power Management Business Unit. He has a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering technology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and certificates from the Executive Leadership Program at Boston University and the Creating Shareholder Value Program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
