Phillip E. Pompa Conexant Systems has announced that Phillip E. Pompa has joined the company as senior vice president of product marketing. Pompa will lead Conexant's worldwide marketing campaign to gain shares in all targeted segments and work closely with Conexant's sales and engineering teams to define differentiated new products. He will report directly to Christian Scherp, Conexant's co-president.

"Over the course of his career, Phil has consistently delivered outstanding results in a variety of assignments with companies that ranged in size from startups to established industry leaders. He also possesses directly applicable experience in imaging and audio, which are two key areas of focus for us. With his strategic perspective and intimate familiarity with our products and markets, I am confident that Phil will quickly make a significant impact as we implement marketing initiatives designed to gain share and grow our business."

Before to joining Conexant, Pompa worked at Rational Semiconductor as co-founder and president and chief executive officer.
