Specialty and electronic gases firm, Matheson has appointed Ashok Mathur as Director of Corporate Commercialization for the Corporate Marketing Group based in Montgomeryville, PA.  Mathur will focus on industrial gas application development and new products and services to our customers in the clean energy, environmental and emerging technologies markets.

“Ashok’s first point of emphasis will be a variety of renewable energy applications, and we are confident that his exemplary networking skills coupled with his substantial technical knowledge in the field of industrial gases will advance our worldwide presence in these segments,” commented Rick Kowey, Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, Matheson.

Ashok has more than 25-years of experience in industrial gases including gas applications, commercial development and business management.  Most of his career has been spent as a Business Manager for Air Products & Chemicals, Inc., and most recently held the position of Chief Technology Officer for Purigen, Inc.

Mathur is a Professional Engineer, and is an active member in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.  He holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT, New Delhi.
