AENEAS waferMarcel Annegarn, a 20-plus-year veteran of Philips, has joined AENEAS, the Association for European NanoElectronics Activities, as Director General. This role will see Mr. Annegarn manage the association’s activities for Europe’s Nanoelectrics R&D companies and their participants in AENEAS’s European Technology Platform on Nanoelectronics (ENIAC) programme.

Mr. Annegarn joined Philips Research in 1977 and Philips Semiconductors in 2003, where he managed business development of the consumer division. From 2006 to April 2008, he led the Project Office Philips Semiconductors, which later became NXP Semiconductors.

AENEAS is an industrial association for research in the nanoelectronics industry.
