M+W Zander has announced the appointment of Rick Whitney (pictured),
company COO since 2002, as the new CEO with immediate effect. He served
as COO and President of the Total Facility Solutions (TFS) division
within M+W Zander, and in his new role as CEO will oversee the
company’s development in the U.S. and overseas.

Asyst Technologies, Inc. has named a new COO and CFO in Paula LuPriore
(pictured) and Aaron Tachibana, respectively. Ms. LuPriore takes up the
roles of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer,
departing her former role with the company as Senior Vice President,
Automation Solutions Group. Aaron Tachibana, who had tendered his
resignation to the company about a month ago, has been retained as
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He previously held
the roles of Vice President, Finance, and Principal Accounting Officer
of Asyst.

CVD Equipment’s CVD/First Nano Division has enlisted the expertise of
Gary Hudler, formerly of Veeco, to take up the role of Manufacturing
Operations Manager. The division designs and manufactures standard and
custom equipment for use in advanced electronic components, materials
and coatings. Mr. Hudler will assume responsibility for overseeing all
manufacturing and production within the division.

Gilad Almogy, Ph.D., has been promoted to Senior Vice President and
General Manager of the Display and Thin Film Solar Products Business
Group at Applied Materials. Dr. Almogy was named general manager of
Applied's Display and Thin Film Solar Products Business Group in August
2007. Previously, he was general manager of Applied's Process
Diagnostics and Control (PDC) business group based in Israel.

Micron Technology has reorganized and expanded its sales structure
after Mike Sadler has moved to MeiYa Technology Corporation, Micron and
Nanya’s 300mm joint venture operation. Sadler has been appointed Vice
President. Replacing Sadler as Vice President of Worldwide Sales is
Mark Adams, formerly Micron’s Vice President of Digital Media, joined
Micron in 2006 with the company’s acquisition of Lexar Media.

Company’s Chief Financial Officer and Lori Lipcaman will assume the
newly created role of Chief Accounting Officer, Richard N. Grubb will
