12 year veteran of AMD, Ramkumar Subramanian, has been appointed the new Sales and Marketing Vice President for India and SAARC region. Ramkumar previously was a senior member of the Technology Development Group. Most recently, he was director of corporate development, responsible for initiatives in China, Brazil and Russia. Mrs. Pauline van der Meer Mohr has been nominated to the ASML Supervisory Board, which is expected to be sanctioned at its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, which is scheduled to be held on March 26, 2009. Fabless mixed-signal company, Elonics, has appointed former founder and CEO of Wolfson Microelectronics, as its new Chairman. This is the first new board position that David Milne has accepted since stepping down as CEO to a non-executive role within Wolfson Microelectronics in 2007. GT Solar, Inc. has added the experience of a former Chief Engineer at Voltaix to its team. Bruce Hazeltine has joined the company in the role as the silicon group’s Director of Process Development, a role that will involve the development engineering initiatives aimed at the creation of more cost-effective Trichlorosilane and silane gas manufacturing facilities. ASM International has named Sunniva Collins, Ph.D., as a Fellow of the society. Ms. Collins, a senior research fellow at Swagelok Company, was selected for her contributions to the technical advances in stainless steels used in fluid systems applications, and will be formally inducted as an ASM Fellow on October 7th at the 2008 Materials Science & Technology Conference and Exposition Awards Dinner in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
