Martin van den Brink, Executive Vice President of Technology and Marketing for ASML, has become the eleventh recipient of SEMI’s annual Bob Graham Award, which is awarded for outstanding contributions in semiconductor equipment and materials marketing. Van den Brink has been with ASML for 25 years, with 15 years as a technologist and more recently as a marketing executive.

Conexant Systems has announced that Phillip E. Pompa has joined the
company as senior vice president of product marketing. Pompa will lead
Conexant's worldwide marketing campaign to gain shares in all targeted
segments and work closely with Conexant's sales and engineering teams
to define differentiated new products. He will report directly to
Christian Scherp, Conexant's co-president.

Korean-based foundry, Dongbu HiTek has lured veteran Texas Instruments facilities expert and former VP of Worldwide Facilities, Shaunna Black to become its newly appointed Senior VP of Manufacturing Operations. Dongbu HiTek noted that the move was to strengthen its manufacturing core competency and reinforce its competitiveness in the analog IC foundry space. She will be responsible for directing its two existing 200mm wafer fabs, as well as its facilities, ESH, and test operations.

Technologies announced Wednesday that Tony Mullins will take up the
role of director of global process control software sales immediately.
Mayson Brooks, Rudolph's vice president of global sales, believes that Mullins' experience will help him in the new position. "Tony brings a wealth of process control know-how to Rudolph," said Brooks.

A new post of Chief Operating Officer has been created within Samsung Electronics for Jay Y. Lee, son of former Chairman Lee Kun-hee as part of a second management reshuffle in less than a year. Geesung Choi is its new CEO, while Ju-Hwa Yoon is appointed Chief Financial Officer. Yoon-woo Lee, currently Vice Chairman and CEO, continues only as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
