Fujitsu’s board of directors has approved the following appointments, resignations and promotions effective from April 1, 2012. The announcement includes the appointment of Kazuhiro Igarashi and Yoshihiko Hanada as the company’s two new corporate senior VPs. All 44 executives, other than those mentioned below will remain in their current posts.
STMicroelectronics CFO, Carlo Ferro is to head-up operations at
struggling ST-Ericsson as chief operating officer of the company. Mario
Arlati, ST’s chief accounting officer will take on the CFO role at
STMicroelectronics.

A related industry association head has been selected to succeed Stan
Myers as president and CEO of SEMI. Dennis “Denny” P. McGuirk the former
president and CEO of trade association, IPC – Association Connecting
Electronics Industries will take-over the reigns, effective November 14,
2011. Myers announced his plans to retire in April and the SEMI
International Board of Directors subsequently initiated a globally
comprehensive search process.

Dr. Hans Betz, Advanced Energy's chief executive officer since 2005, is
retiring from the role, effective August 4, 2011, though he will
continue as an advisor until December 31, 2011. His replacement is Garry
Rogerson, Ph.D, chairman of the board of Coherent and previously chief
executive officer of Varian, Inc.

Citing increased demand for its non-visual defect (NVD) inspection
systems, Qcept Technologies has appointed Richard Hong, as president,
Asia-Pacific. Hong, who previously served as president of KLA-Tencor
Korea, will be responsible for driving Qcept's sales and strategic
partnerships in the Asia-Pacific region. Qcept's has also established a
subsidiary in Korea.
