The Robotic Industries Association (RIA) and design safety engineering, inc. (dse) have decided to merge robotics risk assessment software, which will be available November 4 2005.

According to RIA, manufacturers from diverse industries are continuing to expand the number of robots running "side-by-side." RIA offers the Robot Risk Assessment software tool to assist people in the robotics industry with their risk assessment needs.

As a result, the separate application has been integrated into "designsafe" version 4, allowing users much greater flexibility in how they conduct risk assessments, the RIA claim. A free demo of the software is available at both the RIA (http://www.roboticsonline.com/) and design safety engineering, inc. (http://www.designsafe.com/) Web sites on Monday October 24th.
