Product Briefing Outline: Particle Measuring Systems has
released the "LASAIR II 310B" counter for airborne particles, which
provides complete monitoring features in a
compact, convenient package, according to the company. It weighs only
15.5 pounds, yet counts particles at 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 3.0, 5, 0, and 10.0
microns, making it ideal for verifying ASHRAE regulations.
Problem: Patented sample-flow control gives more accurate
measurements, eliminating errors associated with manifold sampling.
Optional download via USB port Stores sampling recipes, reducing labour
and errors.
Solution: LASAIR II provides for data storage and portability
for mobile use. It is claimed to be the only particle counter that can
be controlled from a desktop PC's web browser while it samples in the
cleanroom. Data can then be downloaded to the desktop
immediately after sampling.
Applications: Cleanroom monitoring, facility certification,
particle trend analysis, statistical process control, and general
troubleshooting.
Platform: LASAIR II has a chemically-resistant cover that can be
wiped down with harsh industrial cleaners and sterilization fluids. It
also offers a removable, externally-rechargeable battery to allow
continuous mobile monitoring.
Availability: January 2005 onwards.
