Williams Advanced Materials continues acquisition trail Print E-mail

Williams Advanced Materials Inc. has acquired privately held Thin Film Technology, Inc. (TFT), Buellton, California, a developer of precision optical coatings, photo lithography, and thin film coatings. The companies had previously worked together on projects.
"TFT is an extremely important addition to Williams as it broadens and deepens our vapor deposition capabilities - an area where we are enjoying significant growth and profitability," stated Richard W. Sager, WAM President. "As with our purchase of OMC Scientific Holdings in Ireland several months ago, this acquisition fits extremely well with our investment strategy of adding high quality, complementary businesses to further serve our customers on a global basis."

The purchase price was approximately $9 million.
