MEMC Electronic Materials, Pasadena, Texas polysilicon facility resumed business on Sunday, after closing due to the threat from Hurricane Rita. The facility itself sustained no major damage from the hurricane, according to the company today.

It had been feared that a lengthy delay in restarting production could adversely affect the already tight supply of the material pushing wafers prices up and restricting supply.
