Conexant Systems, Inc. has apointed William E. Bendush and Matthew E. Massengill (pictured) to the company’s Board of Directors, bringing the total number of members to eight. Mr. Bendush will serve as chairman of the board’s Audit Committee and will sit on the Board Governance and Composition Committee, while Mr. Massengill will sit on the Board Governance and Composition and the Compensation and Management Development Committees.

Mr. Bendush joins the company from his former role as Senior Vice President and CFO at Applied Micro Circuits Corporation. He held a similar role at Silicon Systems, Inc. for 15 years, prior to which he held vatrious senior financial management positions at AM International, Inc. and Gulf & Western Industries, Inc. He also held positions in finance at companies including Gould, Inc. and Blackman, Kallick & Company. A member of the Board for Microsemi Corporation, Mr. Bendush, a CPA, has a degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University.

Former CEO and Chairman of the Board for Western Digital Corporation, with which company he worked for 22 years, he also worked with the Ford Aerospace and Communications Corporation in a research engineer capacity. He currently serves on the boards of Western Digital, and Microsemi Corp., the Orange County Technology Action Network (OCTANe), the South Coast Repertory, and THINK Together. Mr. Massengill has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Purdue University.
