Aquest Systems adds new customers for its ‘FabEX’ AMHS solutions Print E-mail

ImageAquest Systems has said that it has received new multiple orders for its ‘FabEX’ AMHS solutions. The new customers include a leading semiconductor foundry based in Taiwan and a leading DRAM memory producer, based in South Korea.

According to Aquest Systems, the contracts call for Aquest's 'FabEX' Transporter to be directly linked with a previously installed AMHS system from Asyst Technologies, while another will be integrated with an AMHS from Daifuku.

"With new customers in both Taiwan and Korea, it is apparent that there is growing interest in our technology from a number of the industry's leading manufacturers,” said Michael Brain, Aquest's Vice President of Technology and Marketing. “As Taiwan and Korea are major hubs for production, these strategic additions to our growing customer roster solidify Aquest's position at the forefront of the automation revolution that will significantly improve productivity at a fraction of the cost of already installed automated material handling systems.”

The company did not indicate whether the contracts carried a remuneration or whether they were for evaluation only.
