MIPS Technologies teams with Portuguese University to offer design training Print E-mail
Apr 28, 2008 at 11:40 AM

MIPS Technologies has collaborated with the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) to establish an engineering design course that will see the University’s Electrical and Computer Engineering department provide a research foundation for students as well as an opportunity to access MIPS Technologies’ IP for research purposes.

The research will include the areas of architectural design implementation, co-processor development, back-end synthesis and flows and user-defined instruction blocks, to name but a few. MIPS Technologies and the FEUP will present MIPS’s IP via a student package, the aim of which is to prepare engineering students for careers in semiconductor design.

Further information is available on the FEUP site .
