Richard J. Dahl will step into the role of Chairman of International Rectifier’s Board on May 1st, 2008, the company announced. He replaces Eric Lidow (pictured), founder and former CEO and Chairman of the company, who has retired from the company. 

Mr. Dahl has been on the company’s Board since February 2008, and brings global business experience from his role as CPA with Ernst & Young to the post. He has served as a Director of IHOP Corporation since 2004. Currently Chairman of the Audit Committee, he was Chairman of the Special Committee of the Board which was formed to oversee IHOP’s acquisition of Applebee’s International. He has also held the role of President and COO of the Dole Food Company and the Bank of Hawaii Corp.

International Rectifier Corp. is an analog chip manufacturer based in California.
