About a month ago, Chip Shots featured a blog post about the latest International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors and how most (but not all) of the chapters were available at the ITRS Website.
Linda Wilson, Sematech's manager for the document, told me at the time that she expected the three missing chapters--modeling and simulation; environment, safety, and health; and assembly and packaging--to be "good to go by the end of this week."
Well, that was a few weeks ago, and although the modeling and ESH chapters did become available shortly after I spoke with Linda, the assembly/packaging segment has been missing in action--until now. A check of the site reveals that, despite leftover verbiage to the contrary about being "in review and coming soon," the A/P international technology working group's tardy contribution, all 81 pages of it (only the roadmap's exec summary chapter is lengthier), is finally there and ready to download for your reading pleasure.
Talk about being the back end of the process!
The upload comes just in time too, as the first meetings for the 2008 ITRS update take place in Germany later this week.
