Established in October 2007, the Irish Technology Leadership Group’s Silicon Valley Awards are part of a new program set up to encourage Irish technology companies to bring their business to the U.S. and conversely to instigate investment in Irish technology companies by Silicon Valley-based technology companies.
The 2008 ITLG - Irish Times Innovation Award was presented to Dublin-based ChangingWorlds, a provider of mobile data personalization and internet products. Also commended for their contributions to Irish technology development were Intel Chairman Dr. Craig Barrett and Ireland’s Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheál Martin.
The event attracted over 200 executives from such leaders in the industry as Cisco Systems, Intel, Apple and Hewlett-Packard, among others.
