CATRENE (Cluster for Application and Technology Research in Europe on
NanoElectrics) has named Werner Mohr (pictured) as Vice Chairman for
the cluster programme with immediate effect. Mr. Mohr, a member of the
SEMI Advisory Board and a seasoned semiconductor executive, retired
from his active roles with Infineon in May 2008 and joins the CATRENE
endeavour for technological leadership for the European ICT industry.
Mr. Mohr began his career with Siemens AG’s semiconductor division
and worked in the fields of process and product engineering. He spent
two years as Vice President of the Frontends for Munich, Regensburg and
Villach and of the Mask House in Munich, before joining Infineon
Technologies AG as Senior Vice President of Corporate Frontends in
1999. He has a Ph.D. in physics from Munich Technical University.
CATRENE is a renewable four-year programme aimed at a technological leadership for the European ICT industry.
