Chartered Semiconductor names top 2007 suppliers |

Chartered Semiconductor has honored its best suppliers for 2007 at a ceremony held in Singapore. In the equipment category, the Gold Supplier Award went to Dainippon Screen Singapore with Applied Materials Asia the follow-up Silver Supplier Award winner.
Sumco Techxiv and National Oxygen picked up the Gold and Silver awards respectively in the materials supplier category. In the services category the Gold award went to IBM Singapore and the Silver Award to Hewlett-Packard Singapore.
Best Mask Shop Supplier went to Dai Nippon Printing while the Most Improved Supplier Quality Award was given to BASF South East Asia. Kinetics Process System won the Outstanding Service Award – Facility category.
“Chartered has been focused on enhancing our leading-edge capabilities, ramping 65-nanometer technology as well as expanding our capacity for our value-added processes to better meet the needs of our customers,” said Leow Kim Keat, Vice President, customer support operations and supply management organization at Chartered. “To achieve these goals, we have been closely collaborating with our valued suppliers, and we want to thank them for their support and execution to our major initiatives. In the months ahead, we will continue to work with them as we prepare for 45nm, and continue to focus on improving our breakeven utilization, scale and productivity across our fabs.”
